Aspire2Excellence

The Aspire2Excellence Conference at Glasgow Elim Church on 25 April 2010 was an awesome event. Jane Foster welcomed the Aspire team and the 300 delegates. Marilyn Glass introduced her team and spoke about the aims and objectives of the Aspire ministry.
The Glasgow worship band excelled in leading us into the presence of God and the atmosphere for the whole day was amazing.
Our guest speaker Lyndie McCauley spoke in the morning session on the excellence of God. Lyndie reminded us to put no confidence in the flesh but to seek God daily to enable us to walk in excellence before Him. Satan would contest our lives on a daily basis but living in purity will nullify Satan’s case against us. We have to make adjustments and discipline ourselves even going through pain barriers to become women of excellence. God sees the awesome potential in each of us and will encourage us to rise above the things that would hold us down. We are handcrafted by God and are called to be victorious and joyful overcomers.
In the afternoon session Lyndie shared from personal experience that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. She spoke on the unexpected bumps in the road of our lives. The things that happen that really shake us up. Lyndie encouraged us to slow down, not panic and cry to God for assistance. A quick decision is often an unwise choice. God will help us to negotiate the sudden unexplainable trials that we face and attend to any injuries we may sustain. In fact God is able to raise us up to a better place. A bump in the road, instead of becoming a barrier, can provide a springboard into the future.
The response for prayer and the encouraging comments from the women present inspired us as a team to continue to aim for excellence.
